Great Southwest Style Table Lamps

This Intricately fashioned table lamp is an element of Great Southwest Style’s Southwest Lamps Collection, an exciting line of rustically Southwest table lamps, brilliantly crafted by an artist’s hand, with beautifully layered finishes and proportions to coordinate with today’s informal Southwest & casual home decor.

Most lamp orders ship within 2 to 3 business days. Depending on your location, please allow 1 to 2 weeks for FedEx delivery of your Southwest Lamps. Please note that all products are handcrafted to create an original decorator’s masterpiece, therefore natural finish & color variations may occur on bases and shades. If there’s a delay in shipping your order we’ll contact you and give an estimated time to ship order.

Lamp bases are made using “Slip Casting” is a technique for production of pottery, especially for shapes not easily made on a wheel. A liquid clay body slip (usually mixed in a blunger) is poured into plaster moulds and allowed to form a layer, the cast, on the inside cavity of the mould. In a solid cast mold, ceramic objects such as handles and platters are surrounded by plaster on all sides with a reservoir for slip, and are removed when the solid piece is held within. For a hollow cast mould, once the plaster has absorbed most of the liquid from the outside layer of clay the remaining slip is poured off for later use. The cast piece is removed from the mould, “fettled” (trimmed neatly) and allowed to dry. This produces a greenware piece which is then dried before firing, with or without decoration and glaze.

Hydrocal is a US Gypsum product composed mainly of Plaster of Paris and a small amount of Portland cement. Hydrocal, like its similar formulas Hydrostone, Ultracal, Duracal and others are all used for casting sculptures and other art objects as well as molds. Considerably harder and stronger than straight Plaster of Paris, these products are for indoor use only as they rapidly degrade in the rain.

All lamps are UL® approved. Unless otherwise specified lamps feature single way sockets, lamp bulbs are not included. Lamps are intended for indoor use only.

All Southwest lamps pictures were produced using digital techniques and color display might differ from monitor to monitor depending on your particular settings.

Prices include lamp and shade subject to change without notice at any time. Orders placed in our website for delivery other than the continental US will require additional shipping charges. We’ll contact customer with this information.
